Delicious meal in villages
Sapa cuisine is various but to enjoy the full cuisine of this land, in addition to the dishes in the restaurant menu, the visitors should spend time for a delicious meal in villages. Meals are simple, processed from home-grown cattle and poultry, with vegetables around the house. H’mong people, Dzay people or Dzao people have vegetables in their gardens, cattle and poultry next door. Pigs are raised half a year, pig weighs less than 20kg , a little bran, absolutely no growth stimulant. .. Pork is as solid as boar. Indigenous people go to the market when they have their arms crossed under their armpits, bringing pigs to markets or exchanging for things they need. A pig about 10 kg, local people in Sapa ,Lao Cai can process more than 5 dishes for guests to eat. Diners feel appetite by strange taste, very spicy. Sometimes, the seasoning is simply salt and a little spice from thousands of fruits. Broccoli, vegetable are boiled for water. Indigenous rice is usually cooked from sticky rice that there is the five-color sticky rice . Sometimes, people do 5 different colors to worship ancestors or treat guests from far away.
During the meal, people usually eat a little corn-wine or rice-wine . A meal with corn wine, sticky rice, helps digestion and warm up the belly of the customers, stimulating more food and more delicious.
