We started from Hanoi at around 8am. This was a very nice tour to Ninh Binh province except for we paid too much for transport. Me and two more young persons from Czech republic. They are going to get marriage in 2017. We paid ticket on a local bus to jump on and headed up to Mua Cave complex.
Awesome view from the top of Dancing Cave, Ninh Binh
We arrived the bus station in Ninh Binh city then took the taxi to Mua Cave. The driver did not talk much in English but fair enough for us to understand that Mua cave (meaning dancing cave) is used to have many girls danced here to entertain the King. We pay the taxi fare for 315.000 vnd. We share it together and everybody paid 105.000vnd (roughly 5 $). It is quite short distance but we paid, I think, 3 times.
We bought the ticket to get inside, the ticket is 100.000 vnd/person. This is fair because everybody pays the same.
We walked around 5 minutes to reach the foot of mountain then climbed up the hill. The local people made mistake with the name we thought we will see the big cave but it turned out to be a stunning view from the top and the cave at the foot of the mountain is not so special (you could skip it). And overall, surely you will not regret to get here.
Some travelers getting to Hang Mua would rather love this stunning view than Halong bay. It’s a fair climb up hundreds of steps (486) lead you to a temple on top of a hill, the spectacular views from Hang Mua over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside are well worth the effort.
Steps lead to watching tower was imitated from architecture of Great Wall in China with 486 stone steps. Traveling to Hang Mua, you will swallow in a wonderful landscape of mountain, valley and river. You also could access the Hang Mua area by cycling but the best way is to go on tour with the tour guide. It is much easier. Everything is programmed.
Then we went to Trang An. We were so confused to get the ticket with the big long line of people both Vietnamese and foreigners. We 3 got on the boat and had to pay extra 200.000vnd to have our own boat without strangers. Trang An ecotourism site is even more impressive, and we heard that the Natural Reserve of Trang An witnessed the filming of King Kong II. We met a solo girl in Trang An who was traveling 15 days in Vietnam. She did tour with Aroka Travel feeled happy while everything was secured. The tour guide is so clever. She said that Aroka Travel had group joning tour service with only 48$ including buffet lunch, trasport, boat…That is amazing.
